8. The Three Sounds were Gene Harris, piano Andrew Simpkins, bass and Bill Dowdy, drums. I've always ranked Gene Harris as one of the top jazz piano players of his time. And his time had some great ones. I had him a hair under Oscar Peterson and Oscar Peterson was alone at the top/5(7).

It was recorded on June 28, at Rudy van Gelder's studio and released later that year.
